Taller Puertorriqueño (Taller [Tal-lyerr']) was founded in 1974 by Puerto Rican artists and activists in the North Kensington area of Philadelphia. In its evolution from a community based graphics workshop it has been showcasing Puerto Rican and Latino artists in its Lorenzo Homar Gallery from the local community, from Puerto Rico, and nationally. It also promotes the work of Latino artists through collaborations, satellite exhibitions and through El Vestíbulo, the new exhibition space set at its entrance.
