Born in Jerusalem with Sephardic roots from Spain, the confluence of cultures is evident in Mor Karbasi's life and music, with a particular emphasis on her ethinic heritage. After leaving her birthplace, she resided for several years in London and Sevilla, allowing her to musically mature and collaborate with outstanding flamenco artists (Tomatito, Pastora Galvan, Ángeles Toledano.), undoubtedly leaving a profound mark on her music.
Mor Karbasi is an honest, versatile, and multicultural singer-songwriter, and her art can only be defined in one way: a caress for the soul, with the scent of orange blossom.
On the occasion of the release of “The Beauty and the Sea,” (her 1st album) The Guardian (UK) hailed her as “one of the greatest divas in the modern world music scene.”
With 5 albums released on the international market, Mor has toured Europe and the Americas.
We highlight her work with the Beyond Foundation and Tina Turner on the 2017 album “Awakening Beyond.”
