A four-piece band formed in 1996. ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION first released āDestructive Amplifierā in 2002 and made their major debut a year later with the same title. In 2003, the band had launched NANO-MUGEN Fes. and annually expanded their project scales. The band had invited oversea artists like WEEZER, MANIC STREET PREACHERS etc. to introduce their fan the wide range of genre.
Gotoh's realistic frustration, even despair sublimates into a driving force Overwhelming emotion and momentum, they have continued to lead the music scene with their "Japanese sounding rockā and have gained tremendous support across generations.
In April 2026, the band will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
