Leigh Haggerwood had a vision - To bring back to the music charts the kind of Christmas song that we all love and cherish so dearly....
Disappointed by the demise of the Christmas charts, Leigh set about writing an authentic, traditional style song that would include all the elements of true Christmas classics.
In 2010, after three (unsuccessful) years of battling with record companies for backing, he decided to go it alone, gathering musicians he knew to form "The Florin Street Band" and used his life savings to fund the project.
Recorded in August 2010 & featuring The English Chamber Choir, this truly wonderful festive melody was released on December 6 on the Calmsound label.
The song has slowly but surely been gaining momentum (over 1.5 Million YouTube views) and I am pleased to announced that profits from downloads this December go to the Cash for Kids charity. So please download the song from iTunes and help a worthwhile charity this Christmas.
