Dr. Kevin Norton earned his DMA in saxophone at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music (where he studied with Dr. James Bunte) and is a private instructor in the Cincinnati metro area, primarily at The School for Creative and Performing Arts. In addition, he is a member (along with saxophonist Jennifer Grantham) of the Prestalgia Duo.
A native of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Kevin previously studied at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky under Dr. Nathan Nabb and Prof. Eugene Norden. At Morehead, Kevin earned a Bachelor's degree (Summa cum laude) in Music Education and a Master of Music in saxophone.
In addition, he has helped premiere several works for saxophone by composers like Carrie Magin ("Amber Autumn" for sax quartet), Ian Dicke ("Straphanger" for sax duet; "Chapter One, Page One" for soprano sax and electronics) and Joel Matthys (“Permafrost” for soprano saxophone and live electronics).
