The Global Respiratory Infection Partnership (GRIP) are a group of healthcare experts from around the world who are dedicated to reducing the growing threat of antibiotic resistance due to inappropriate usage in respiratory tract infections. They are committed to:
· Encouraging appropriate interventions for rational antibiotic use in respiratory tract infections and safeguarding the antibiotics we have left for use when we really need them
· The development of a framework which helps guide healthcare professionals on the most effective non-antibiotic treatment options for respiratory tract infections such as sore throat, commons colds, influenza and cough
· Facilitating commitment from healthcare professionals and the public to only use antibiotics for respiratory tract infections when really needed
The GRIP is supported by an unrestricted educational grant by RB Group plc.
