Equilibria is a group with a goal of shattering genre boundaries in our music. While we stick to what we know, we poke and prod at the boundaries as we put multiple influences in each track cultivating in something unique. Our original focus was to just bring more substantial melodic content back to EDM, which was beginning to grow stale, but now, we just let the music write itself. If a heavy guitar riff wants to be matched with a nasty dubstep drop, so be it.
Equilibria is composed of two best friends, Matt and Karl, from Minnesota who have a passion for writing music. Matt tends to be the general composer, writing the melodies and structuring the progression while Karl will take the reigns for sound design and intense bass work. After forming in late 2013, our styles have begun to merge, making the creation process much easier on both of us and we've begun incorporating the other's style in our solo projects.
