Dear Yoga,
Namaste! Today after almost a year I did the some of the main kriyas and asanas that I used to practice, and I was not good enough at them. I knew you since childhood but didn’t know enough about you. I started learning about you officially in late 2019. I was coming close to you but then in no time I drifted away in 2021. My lower back injury last April changed me! My breast size has increased, my belly showed up, my thighs, my arms are not the same. I gained a total weight of 11 kg. It also gave me a lot of mental training to deal with various aspects of life. At times I felt how am I going to get back to my usual body form. My family took all my care while I was on complete bed rest for 3 months, be it meals, bath or poti. My friends supported me. Literally I had to start everything from scratch. I learnt how walk again, how to sit, and do my daily chores myself.
I was missing you since many months. At times I started doing the kriyas and asanas but then again after 2-3 days I didn’t feel like doing. Today is the day I started to learn about you again because I am happy and satisfied enough when I spend some time with you. I have got even worse at doing asanas. I am not even close to the way I was before 2019. But I know slowly and steadily I am going to do it all again and this time even better. I have started seeing you again in all the activities I do. I am grateful for you because you help me a lot in numerous ways. I’m glad that you came into my life.
