Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) is dedicated to promoting the safer use of medicines for patients everywhere. Our ambition is to help make the world a better place for patients and their communities. As a worldwide leader in the science of pharmacovigilance, UMC advances the safety of patients by exploring and understanding the risks and benefits of medicines to help patients and physicians make wise therapeutic decisions.
Established in 1978 to support the WHO Programme for International Drug Monitoring, we are an independent foundation based in Sweden, working globally to promote medicines safety.
