GEAR UP Nashville proudly serves the following MNPS high schools: Antioch, Cane Ridge, Glencliff, John Overton, Maplewood, Pearl-Cohn, and Stratford.
GEAR UP Nashville is a federally-funded college access program that belongs to Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS). The program started in the 2018-2019 school year with 6th and 7th grade students at ten middle schools in the district, and each subsequent year for seven total years GEAR UP Nashville will support these two cohorts as they travel through high school and into college with college planning activities, career exploration services, and other important interventions, such as mentoring, tutoring, ACT Prep, and Social Emotional Learning strategies. GEAR UP Nashville served the following MNPS middle schools: Antioch, Apollo, Gra-Mar/Jere Baxter, John Early, Margaret Allen, McMurray, Moses McKissack, Stratford STEM Lower, and Wright.
