Bhaskar Das is one of the finest Bansuri players of the younger generation of Indian musicians. His father and guru, Pt. Gopal Das, one of the pioneers of Indian classical music on the clarinet, is a disciple of the flute maestro Pt. Bholanath Prasanna.
His musical journey started at the age of three and up to date his talent and soulful performance style have received significant recognition. He is an empanelled artist of ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations), rated as an “A” grade artist by All India Radio & Doordarshan (national TV & Radio channels), holder of a Master’s degree from Banaras Hindu University and recipient of multiple awards in music competitions.
Bhaskar performs extensively in India and internationally, promoting through his various projects and collaborations the rich heritage of Indian Classical Music. He had the great privilege to perform in a diplomatic event hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the King Philippe of Belgium.
