Esmeralda Teresa Hernandez-Polanco graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy with a specialization in Latino/a Family Studies from Pacific Oaks College. Esmeralda completed research in trauma and immigration, and disaster relief. Esmeralda worked for Los Angeles County Mental Health Agencies from 2007-2015. Esmeralda has experience teaching Psychology courses at the bachelor’s level, as well as temporarily teaching High School Biology and Business Education for Middle School Students.
