Welcome to the Amador County Arts Council!
Established in 1982, the Amador County Arts Council is a 501c3 non-profit organization devoted to advancing rural creative expression throughout Amador County by paying artists, helping artists, and promoting artists.
Amador County Arts Council is a designated Local Arts Agency and State-Local Partner to the California Arts Council (arts.ca.gov/), a state agency, working to catalyze broad arts, cultural, and creative engagement for all communities, especially those who are historically underserved as demonstrated by data such as the Healthy Places Index (www.healthyplacesindex.org/).
Our services include grant-giving; administrative support; promotion of the Arts ecosystem within Amador County (the lands of the Buena Vista Me-Wuk, Ione Miwok, and Jackson Miwuk); and the Amador County Poetry Out Loud high school competition.
