Alex Pilkevych is a prog metal musician from based in Wroclaw, Poland. Known for his experimental approach and emotive compositions.
His debut album, Explanatory Gap (2014), was recorded in Kyiv and marked the beginning of his artistic journey.
He followed this with the acoustic EP Within The Brain Drainery (2015), recorded in a dormitory basement.
The next release, Jar of Joy (2018), featured Katie Thompson and Zara Gevorgyan.
His most recent EP, That Way Lies Madness (2021), with contributions from Adam Janzi (VOLA), Katie Thompson (Fallujah, Chiasma) and mixed by Max Morton, garnered attention from the progressive music community, especially the single "Celery".
Alex is currently working on a new LP set for release in early 2025.
His music is influenced by bands like Leprous, Karnivool, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Tool, Gojira, The Contortionist and many more.
