Energize Connecticut supports a variety of programs that provide education and financial incentives to help Connecticut residents reduce the amount of energy used in their home or business. Some of these programs recently received national recognition from the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy.
Energize Connecticut is supported by all Eversource and UI customers through the Combined Public Benefits Charge on their electric bill and by customers of Connecticut Natural Gas, Southern Connecticut Gas Company and Eversource (natural gas customers) through a conservation charge included in their rates. The Energy Efficiency programs are reviewed by the Energy Efficiency Board, approved annually by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) and administered by Connecticut's regulated utilities.
If you live or work in Connecticut, you contribute to the Energize Connecticut, so take advantage of these programs.
