Museum Beelden aan Zee is a museum for contemporary sculpture, based in Scheveningen (The Hague) in the Netherlands, next to the beach.
The first sculpture in the collection was purchased by the founders, Theo and Lida Scholten, in 1966. The museum Beelden aan Zee collection now holds nearly one thousand sculptures and several hundreds of medals. Most of the sculptures date from the second half of the twentieth century. There are large and small sculptures, made by famous and less famous sculptors from all over the world, produced from a wide variety of materials.
