Refaat Al-Ansari joined the diplomatic corps at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1974, and rose through diplomatic positions from attaché to excellent ambassador, where he worked in the Egyptian embassies in: London - Tel Aviv - Vienna - Budapest, then moved to work as Egypt’s ambassador to: Niger - Eritrea - Kenya - Seychelles - Albania. He held the position of Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Information and Press until his retirement in November 2009. He then worked as a political advisor to Mr. Amr Moussa during the presidential election campaign, and until now, in addition to his membership in the office
