Welcome to my Youtube channel for the AP and Honors Chemistry classes at Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School. I am a 30+ year veteran of chemistry teaching and have been recognized on both the local and national level including the 2020 ACS James Bryant Conant Award and being named an ACS Fellow in 2020.
Teaching by video is not my first choice but with the current situation it is the safest thing for us to do. These lessons are not meant to replace the interaction of a classroom teacher. They are to be used in coordination with what we do in our class meetings.
The best use of these videos is to review what was discussed in class and have the ability to pause, rewind, and review until you fully understand a concept. Most of these videos will be identified by referring to what pages of the lecture outlines and homework assignments that they are relevant to.
