I teach a class called âMaking, Art & Designâ to 250 K-4th grade public school students at Lighthouse Community Public School in Oakland, CA. I created this YouTube channel during Coronavirus Shelter In Place (April 2020) when the schools closed to try to reach my students. The projects I teach in these videos are all projects I teach in my class. I am focusing on projects that use recycled or repurposed materials. I know that Making and Art will help us all get through this crazy time. Feel free to share and I encourage you to modify these projects to meet your needs, different ages and your budget. As I tell my students all the time...you donât need fancy equipment or supplies to make, you just need to be resourceful and creative! ENJOY and start MAKING!
