I knew immediately it was the Joker when he took off his clown mask and revealed that he was the Joker.

what a f*cked world we live in when a 5 minute scene is better than some movies

The famous criminal Dunnhier, the famous bus driver Ike Hill, and of course, Joker's biggest inspiration, Strein Jerr.

Can we just appreciate William Fichtner as the bank manager with the shotgun? He's on screen for less than 2 minutes and somehow manages to make his character one of the most memorable in the entire film.

Joker did so good he made me forget that Batman was in the movie.

This is how you open a movie! After this scene, you knew you were in for a ride.

People love the unmasking of the Joker but we gotta appreciate that shot of him just standing on the corner, waiting, ready. The calm before the storm.

This scene is brilliantly written because it highlights who the Joker is. Hes a military strategist, The Clown Prince of Crime. He planned this all out probably on a whim and it brought the Batman to him. Its a joke. He has enough cash to burn.

"If this Joker guy was so smart, he'd had us bring a bigger car" Joker internally: "This is going to be fucking hilarious in 20 seconds"

I love the added touch of the Joker telling his partner that the bank manager was out of bullets, either to troll with him or to let him get killed so he can take the killing shot.

If you grew up in 08 and got to see both Iron Man & The Dark Knight in the theater you're a certified OG. I was born too late.

That bank manager was a freaking badass, he and Batman should have teamed up

It took me forever to figure out how genius this plan was. He eliminated the rest of the crew, meaning he wouldn't have to worry about getting snitched on. He took care of the head guy, meaning he would be useless to the mob. He definitely made the mob aware of his presence. Blended in so perfectly that the cops would never even question him. And because he was basically unknown (at this point in the movie) Batman basically let's him get away with it by saying he is more interested in the mob. Jokers first move was big and he basically got away with it to fund the rest of his plans. And biggest of all: this is what started the mob to be desperate to need his help. He created a problem that he already had a solution to.

Can we just appreciate the acting in this? These guys had to convey personality without any facial expression whatsoever, and they do it perfectly.

"He thinks he can sit it out and still take a slice" Love how Joker is just casually sitting behind them as they say that.

The cinematography in this film is unmatched, especially at 0:09 where joker is just sitting in the middle of the street as the citizens are going about their day, completely oblivious to the chaos that will affect Gotham for the next 8 years

Very memorable opening scene. Perfectly sums up the Joker’s character, an anarchist who creates chaos even amongst his own followers.

I just realized something. The only reason joker robs the bank is so that he can gather the mob bosses in one place and talk to them.
