yeah. poke is a privacy-focused layer for publicly available youtube data. in the united states, 17 u.s.c. § 512(a) covers intermediaries that transmit material without modifying it, and in the european union, directive 2001/29/ec covers temporary and incidental copies. poke does not rehost or redistribute copyrighted videos.
who owns poke?
poke was founded by ashley íris celeste and is built with love by ashley íris and amazing contributors :3

we don’t really know (privacy!) -but our best guess is here: /api/stats
why poke over youtube?
poke is more lightweight, doesn’t shove ads at u, lets u download videos, and it’s really really really fast :3
how does poke protect my privacy?
we proxy requests through our server so requests come from one shared ip (kinda like a private vpn layer), not yours.
is fish legal in poke?
